The Malcantone is a region in the district of Lugano in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. The region covers 76.3 square kilometers from Lake Lugano (300 m asl) on a hilly area to the mountainous area to over 1600 m. It is divided into three zones (municipalities as of 1 May 2008 in brackets):
- Lower Malcantone (Agno Bioggio Caslano, Magliaso Neggio, Ponte Tresa, Vernate)
- Middle Malcantone (Astano, Bedigliora, Croglio, Curio, Monteggio, Curio, Pura, Sessa)
- Upper Malcantone (Aranno Alto Malcantone Cademario Miglieglia).
